"He Ain't Heavy, Father...

...He's M' Brother"

The quotation inscribed on this statue in Boys Town is the motto adopted by founder, Father Flanagan for his mission of providing a positive environment for troubled youth.

B is the letter this week for ABC Wednesday and in the city of Omaha, nothing is more appropiate for B than Boys Town. It has been an Omaha institution since its beginnings in 1917. Father Flanagan and his followers established and developed a very successful child-care model for helping wayward youth (girls and boys) find their way in life. More about its fascinating history and programs here.
