Sunday Bridges

A jogger catches the warming rays of a summer sunrise on the the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge across the Missouri River. The bridge connects downtown Omaha, Nebraska and the city of Council Bluffs, Iowa with miles of paved trails on both sides of the river. The painting in the distance is mural artist, Meg Saligman's rendering of Omaha history called, Fertile Ground.

See more bridges today at Louis' Sunday Bridges

I imagine that this would be a scenic place to jog! Lovely lighting!

I agree with Gemma, the light is so appealing... your jogger reflects the feminine theme in the billboard or mural above her...

Nice action shot with good light and a very interesting mural or painting in the background. It has a little unclear image . Thanks for showing.

Nice capture of the runner on the bridge. That poster ahead of her makes me think of old Chinese propaganda posters... I'm sure it isn't. ;-)

I love the lighting of the shot! I don't recall seeing this mural when we visited Omaha in the Spring. Is this new? Or is this on the Council Bluffs side?

«Louis» hasn't been to Omaha in more than 20 years and had forgotten that Council Bluffs is across the river.

«Louis» works all weekend, so it is difficult for him to visit those who have contributed to Sunday Bridges on Sunday. So here it is mid-week and he's FINALLY getting around to visiting and thanking all who contributed to the meme.
