A look up toward a blazing-hot summer sky from inside a cool, dark kiva built into the earth. This image was taken on a visit to Mesa Verde National Park in Colorado where ruins of the ancient Pueblo Indian culture are found, which included the kiva or ceremonial rooms still used by some Indian cultures today. More about the evolution of the kiva can found here on Wiki.
Omaha Lens is an effort to record and post images about day-to-day life seen through the lens of my camera, both in and around the Omaha area of the U.S heartland and from my travels elsewhere.
Hope you enjoy your visit.
