Ponte Sisto

This time last year, we enjoyed a few weeks in Rome, a city with many beautiful bridges. Ponte Sisto, a footbridge across the Tiber, became our favorite though, perhaps because it was so close to where we stayed on the Campo de' Fiore. We used it almost daily on our explorations around central Rome and enjoyed its friendliness and unique beauty each time we passed over.

Old Market Passageway

The Old Market historic district is filled with renovated warehouses from Omaha's earlier history that have been converted into a thriving retail area with condos and apartments. This passageway of shops, art galleries and restaurants in the Old Market is a somewhat hidden, but charming retreat filled with greenery year round.

It is Theme Day for City Daily Photo Bloggers.
The theme this month is passageway.

Sunday Shadows - Free Snow

We've had record amounts of snowfall so far this winter in Omaha along with unrelenting freezing weather so mountains of the white stuff are piled everywhere. Everytime I drive by this house in the neighborhood offering free snow, I've seen no evidence that there have been any takers.

Sunday Shadows

Breakfast at WheatFields Express in the Old Market is a great way to start the day. Enjoyed this scrumptious bacon and egg stratta at their outside seating recently, during a warm and sunny fall day.
