Old Market Passageway

The Old Market historic district is filled with renovated warehouses from Omaha's earlier history that have been converted into a thriving retail area with condos and apartments. This passageway of shops, art galleries and restaurants in the Old Market is a somewhat hidden, but charming retreat filled with greenery year round.

It is Theme Day for City Daily Photo Bloggers.
The theme this month is passageway.

This is just delightful, Raf. I find it astounding how warehouses can be totally transformed into a second life. I love the brickwork and the effect of the greenery. Wonderful choice for the theme.

Now this is a real treasure! Art galleries and restaurants? My husband and I would be there every week! The plants among the old brickwork is just wonderful!

Somehow this looked less American and more European - very charming in any case.

What a wonderful and photogenic location. I'm glad they were able re-purposed the building rather than knock it down to build some gaudy condo or strip mall.
