The Roseman Bridge is one of several covered bridges in Madison County, Iowa. A few hours drive from Omaha, these covered bridges were popularized in the '90s by the best selling book, The Bridges of Madison County and eventually the movie of the same name starring Clint Eastwood and Meryll Streep.
The image shown here is an oil painting by artist/wife, Nancy, from a photo taken on our visit there.

Nice twist on the expectation of a photo.
Oh I love this painting. And I loved the movie.
The movie and the painting, just lovely:)
An excellent rendition.
This is beautiful! I love the colors, form, texture. If I were painting at the moment, I'd aspire to do something like this.
I've seen enough covered bridges in blogs these last few years that I shouldn't be so surprised by now but they still seem odd.
A very belated "thank you" from «Louis» for this contribution to Sunday Bridges.
