...perhaps, looking for its vanished master or...who knows?
Found this interesting, untitled piece of public art by sculptor, Mel Chin,
along the waterfront promenade in Corpus Christi, Texas.

It seemed to make a good foreground for a sunrise picture while looking out
across the bay on that clear fall morning.

Very well composed pic.
A touch of sadness is there though.
Great contribution to the theme day. Enjoy your weekend!
Nice Capture.
That is a fantastic shot. I must say I thought the dog was real.
Lovely, peaceful skies and a superb capture as always Raf!! I do agree with Indrani about its touch of sadness! Hope you have a great weekend!!
beautiful composition Raf!
WHat a great shot - wonderful statue if a little sad too.
What a beautiful photo and intriguing sculpture! I agree with the other commenters that at first glance it imparts a feeling of loss and sadness, but then I started interpreting it differently. I decided it means that dogs (and all animals) can see many things about us that are invisible to our limited human senses. Or maybe the dog is saying to the man, "Well you've obviously still got your feet, so you have no excuse not to take me for a walk!" :-)
Great composition on this creative photo!
Good theme day post.
Very cool silhouette!
Great shot. Somewhat lonesome but very beautiful.
Perfect for both memes. Love the look of the dog looking to the skies--- can't look further out than that.
Great shot ... very well composed. Love the sculpture!

Neat picture! Perfect for skywatch.
Cool perspective and composition - but the potential pathos behind the sculpture adds so much to the whole scene! A picture doesn't always paint a thousand words!!
